Lip Piercing Question ?

-I got my lip pierced on June 9 and I changed it on July 23 to a lip ring because kept accidently biting on the the back of the stud but now the next day it got swollen. i dont know if I changed it too soon :l any help would be apreciated :)With piercings it's suggested you leave the original stud in for 4 weeks min'... so going by that, yeah you may have changed it a tad too soon.

Also, if the ring or your lip wasn't clean, then that could of aggravated it a bit.



You could try buying some of that liquidy antiseptic stuff they sell at chemists for piercings, that's always worked for me, just splosh it on the ring and the piercing, or if it's really bothering you, go back to the place you got it pierced to get them to check it out, just to be on the safe side! :-)You're supposed to wait 12 weeks (three months) until you change the jewellery in any piercing. Did you get the bar changed to a shorter bar by your piercer? If not, then do this as you'll be less likely to bite on it. For the time being, bathe your lip in sea salt solution twice a day.
Yeah u changed it way to early ur supposed to wait at least two months before taking it out or changing it , its an open wound n it needs to heal . I suggest u go to where u go it peirced or a percing shop n ask what u should do or call one
yeah you changed it to soon. but i did the same thing with my second one and as long as you keep taking care of it and cleaning it you should be good
