-My belly button was pierced three days ago. There has been no pain since, however the upper hole is still red. I have been cleaning it as directed by my piercer, but the color has yet to subside. Is this because it is freshly pierced? Also, are there any tips to quickly healing this particular piercing? Thank you in advance.I had mine pierced when I was 13 and it was red for almost 8 months. I always thought it was infected but my piercer kept reassuring me it was just healing. I had a friend that got hers pierced 3 days after I got mine and her redness went away after a couple weeks. It all depends on the person. If you're super worried, you can go back to the place you got it pierced at and ask if they think anything's wrong with it.
Tips for quickly healing:
Sea salt soaks two times a day.
Not swimming for at least four months after having it pierced.
Washing your hands every time before touching it.
Not changing the jewlery until it's FULLY healed.
Good luck!!My friend and I got out belly buttons pierced together 3 months ago and hers is still red but mine isn't . Both her and I clean it with a sea salt solution and uses dial liquid hand soap (unscented). Oh and hers isn't infected. If it goes on for too long I advise you to get someone to look at it just in case.
