Do you think I'd be better off spending money on tattoos rather than alcohol?

-I seem to spend so much money on alcohol, I mean I only go out like once a week but I haven't had a good night in months, and alcohol just makes people act like idiots. I've got my first job and it's only temporary, for this reason my mum won't accept any of the wages for rent, so was thinking I won't drink for at least a month, and treat myself to a tattoo or two instead?? Good plan?Yes, tattoos are a better way to spend your cash than booze...but just make sure you plan them out...don't just collect a bunch of random ink. I love tattoos but when someone gets them JUST to have them, it shows. You could spend some of the money on new clothes or things like vitamins aswell. Now if you want to 'treat yourself' to a tattoo, just make sure you are aware that it does not come off (obviously), so once you are an elderly woman/man, you may regret it. I suggest that if you do, indeed, get a tattoo, it should be somewhere non-visible; a subtle area at least (Such as the back of the neck, lower back, shoulder). I am glad you have abstained from drinking, for your mother's sake, but would she approve if you got a tattoo? Keep that in mind if you intend to.

Also, if you give up drinking for a longer period of time, you can even be able to save up on something bigger than a painful tattoo.
save your money and you could buy something REAL nice in the future! dont get a tattoo cuz theyre permanent and youll prob regret it. also many people dont like hiring people with tattoos, especially if its one where youre in contact with outside people. maybe if you can get your parents or friends gifts or something theyd really appreciate?
I wouldnt get a tattoo for the sake of it, like one from off the wall of a tattoo parlour, apart from if it has a meaning. Save your money and buy somethin productive or a present for your mum or somethin.
If this is your first job, where did you get money for alcohol in the first place? I'd recommend saving some cash instead. Trading one vice for what seems like an amusement is just going to bite you in the kiester down the road.
If your gatherings with your friends is getting boring...find something else to do with your friends. This is the one time in your life where you have the spare time to spend with friends...enjoy it.
