Do this for this reason...you will aggravate the hairs if you go against them, which usually results in red bumps all over the place and then they become pimples. Its nasty and I've had them before. Shave the opposite dircetion the hair grows and then when your done shaving, dry it off. And this is going to sound weird, but put deodorant on the area you shaved.
