Start with a sunscreen with an SPF factor of under 15, but no less than 8.
Keep skin moisturized with after-sun lotion--preferably with aloe--to make your tan last.
Tanning Lotion
Buy cream or spray-on tanning lotion.
Test the product on a small area of skin for adverse reactions.
Scrub away dead skin with a loofah pad before applying lotion.
Rub tanning lotion into skin thoroughly. (You may want to wear rubber gloves to do this.) Pay special attention to the backs of your knees, elbows, ankles and tan lines.
Wipe away excess lotion to avoid an uneven or creased tan.
Wash hands (or gloves) thoroughly with soap and water after applying lotion.
Wait 15 minutes before getting skin wet.
Tips & Warnings
Some medications (especially acne medications) lower your resistance to sun.
If you are light-skinned, you are more prone to sunburn than people with darker complexions.
Start with only a light coating and then layer to obtain the color you want.
Most tanning lotions do not contain sunscreen.
You can also use tanning pills, which contain color additives.
Avoid the sun during the peak hours of 10:00 to 2:00, when its rays are the most harmful.
Always protect your eyes while tanning in the sun or in a tanning bed.
Tanning booths and beds subject your body to the same general kinds of rays as the sun emits. Be aware that you can get sunburned in a tanning bed.
Cheap tanning lotions will turn your skin orange.
Instead of getting a tan in the sun you could try one of those spray on tans, they look real enough and are a lot quicker and less dangerousTry tanning spray... yeah. Or just get a pray tan. but if you're not allowed to get a spray tan, just you tanning oil. It glistens your skin and your more likely to get darker skin. Bu make sure you put on like spf 15 before you put it on because tanning oil only has spf 4.
This is from personal experiance, but for some reason I always get a better tan with tanning oil and splashing water on my body lol, hope I helped!
Splash water on you and then when it drys Splash some more - the sun has to get to you quicker to dry it there for - TAN ! <3
Make sure your skin is super moisturised. Apply after sun aswell.
Use tanning OIL with no spf. But be careful not stay out to long cause you'll burn.
