-soo i plan on getting a small tattoo on the inside of my left wrist of a word or two but im not sure what yet. here's the story.. I've been extremely sick with this disease for months in the hospital along with other issues i'd rather not get into. Long story short im going through hell right now. i want a tattoo on my wrist to keep me going. like an affirmation. something to look at reminding me that im a strong person and can do it. and for future dificulties i can look at it and remember what i survived and know i can get through anything.
I was thinking:
1. forever strong
2. fighter
3. ?
I don't know what else does anyone have an idea?Whenever I see the word 'LIVE' it reminds me that all the hardships and pain I've gone through is worth it because I'm still alive. Kind of tells me to keep on going. But that's just me.
Try and think of something yourself. If you think of it, then it will mean much much more to you. Promise
=)
Good luck, and keep fighting.
I would have to say REVIRESCO - (Latin) means to grow strong again, To Revive... but the definition given to me buy a remarkable man (if i remember right also a former CIA agent) is: "I flourish in Adversity"
By the way good luck with your battle... what ever it may be! get well soon!!!
Nothing as cliched as everything mentioned here, of course.
Think it up yourself or you'll end up regretting it, and don't get a word, get a symbol that means that to you.
"what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger."
"pain is inevitable suffering is optional."
"pain is only weakness leaving the body."
or just get the Chinese symbol for strength.

In tattooing images speak louder than words. You know the old adage, a picture is worth a thousand words. Here are two that fit:
The black panther is the largest and most ferocious cat of the Americas, pound for pound more fierce and dangerous than: the tiger, the lion or the leopard. The panther is at the pinnacle of the food chain in the Americas. Wherever this feline is found, it's revered for its strength, valour and power. Also for its maternal gentleness. As a tattoo motif, the panther makes a powerful statement about the person who chooses it, for it is a symbol of courage, strength and personal leadership. They look best on inner forearms or calfs.
The phoenix is a bird rising from the flaming ashes. The bird represents you. The flaming ashes represent purification and transformation through fire and adversity. The phoenix is a symbol of rebirth and the resurrection, leaving the old world for the new world of the spirit, dying and rising again, reborn. It basically symbolizes the victory of life over adversity. They look best as chest pieces.
Stay Strong girl! don't ever give the fight!
im struggle with somethings as well and getting a tattoo as well on my wrist I'm getting "Skyscraper" and a pic that hole thing stands to Stay Strong! Skyscraper is song by Demi Lovato is you haven't heard it i strongly consider you listen to it that song stand for to ST!

If I was in your position I would think of a quote rather than a word that represents strength and a quote that is close to me that many people - if any - know about. Many tattoos are made to be very personal that help you through life so my quote would be "fight fire with fire" but that may not touch you how other quotes would. I would look up some quotes that represent how you feel about your strength and see which ones touch your heart the most.
If you do want a one word though I would think "fighter" is good but there is also "soldier" "trooper" "survivor" - I like that one - "stronger" etc.
Or another alternative is that if you are religious you could get a tattoo that represents your religion.
You could also do this for your zodiac because many zodiacs represents different things like Aries is to do with strength as are some others.
Or you could even get it in a different language, if you are foreign, or you could do some deep research because in other languages there are words that can mean a whole sentence in english.
I wish you a speedy recovery and a healthy life and I hope the tattoo is a success. Good luck.
